Home Bartender

Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 August 2026

Home Bartender is local-first. Your bar, your recipes and your lists live on your device and work with no account at all. We show no ads, run no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and never sell personal information.

Who we are

Home Bartender ("we", "us") provides the Home Bartender mobile app and the home-bartender.app website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: support@home-bartender.app.

What stays on your device

Using the app without an account means your data never leaves your phone. Stored locally, and removed when you delete the app:

If you create an account

Signing in is optional and exists so your bar can follow you across devices. We support Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google. We never see your password.

WhatWhy
A stable account identifier from Apple or Google To recognise you on your next sign-in
Your email address and name, when the provider shares them To identify your account and contact you about it
Your bar inventory, favourites, notes and shopping list To sync them between your devices

If you use Sign in with Apple's private relay address, we only ever hold the relay address, not your real one. Custom recipes and filter presets currently stay on the device that created them and are not uploaded.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is active; RevenueCat receives a purchase identifier and basic device and app information in order to validate it, and returns only whether your subscription is active. If you are signed in, we associate that subscription with your account so it works on your other devices.

Technical data

Our servers keep standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, and which endpoint was called — to keep the service running and secure. These are retained for up to 30 days. We do not use them to build a profile of you and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

What we don't do

Who processes data for us

These providers act on our instructions. Data is stored in the United States; where the GDPR applies, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Legal bases (EEA and UK)

How long we keep things

Account and synced data are kept while your account exists, and deleted within 30 days of your asking us to delete it. Request deletion at support@home-bartender.app and we will confirm when it is done. Server logs roll off after 30 days. Records of purchases are retained where tax and accounting law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. Write to support@home-bartender.app and we will respond within 30 days. Exercising these rights costs you nothing and we will not treat you differently for it.

Children

Home Bartender is about alcoholic drinks and is intended for adults of legal drinking age. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top, and for anything significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
